Metal Finishing

Continental Microwave & Tool employs a number of metal finishing methods to ensure complete flux/brazing salt removal and tarnish resistance. A 110-gallon boil tank that uses de-ionized water and degreasing solvents cleans aluminum and copper/brass waveguide. More complex assemblies are cleaned using pH-balanced ultrasonics in a Crest Model IM 5310-40 KHz. A chemical dip process is used to produce a clear, protective, tarnish-resistant chromate film on silver-plated microwave components.
